Volunteer Today _2

What does a few hours mean to you?

Whether you can give two or six hours a week, EVERY moment counts. Houston Center for Literacy is proud to support more than 70 adult literacy organizations throughout Greater Houston. With this many locations, and so many different opportunities for volunteering, it is easier than you think to work the time into your busy schedules and to find learning locations convenient to your work and home.

The best part of volunteering with us...knowing you did something to help your community with the only thing we all equally have to give: our time and ourselves.

Volunteer Opportunities

Give your time and apply to volunteer at a literacy site close to you. Houston Center for Literacy is accepting volunteers at all three learning centers and ADM. Volunteers can help with general office support, ADM, Community Outreach events, Annual Fundraisers, or work with our learners.

All volunteers are required to attend a volunteer tutor training session.

How to Apply

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out our Volunteer Intake form and email it to our Volunteer Manager, Alisha Proctor.
